Review on Occupational Personal Solar UV Exposure Measurements

چکیده
During leisure time, people can decide if they want to expose themselves solar ultraviolet (UV) radiation and what extent. While working, do not have this choice. Outdoor workers are exposed UV (UVR) on a daily basis. This may pose certain health risk, which be estimated when the personal UVR exposure (PE) is known. past decades, variety of studies were conducted measure PE outdoor our knowledge has increased remarkably. As shown by review, clearly indicate that most exceeds internationally proposed threshold limit value, comparable 1.0 1.3 standard erythema dose (SED), respectively, 1.1 1.5 Index received over one hour. Besides working in high environ, monotonic workflow (limited movement, nearly static posture) risk factor. In such cases, higher than ambient UVR. we provide also list milestones, depicting progress important findings field during 45 years. However, many respects still rudimentary, for several reasons. Different measuring positions been used so measured comparable. Few designed enable extension other locations or dates. Although importance proper calibration devices respect changing spectrum was pointed out from beginning, often performed, leads uncertainties presented levels. At end some key points, evaluate quality study respectively support design future studies.

Symposium-in-Print Personal Solar UV Exposure Measurements Employing Modified Polysulphone with an Extended Dynamic Rangey{
Polysulphone dosimeters using a simple to use filter have been developed and tested to provide an extended dynamic measurement range of personal solar UV exposures over an extended period (3 to 6 days). At a Southern Hemisphere subtropical site (27.68S, 151.98E), the dynamic range of the filtered polysulphone allowed measurements of erythemal exposures to approximately 100 minimum erythemal dos...
متن کاملGround Based Measurements of Solar UV Index in Tabriz
Introduction: Ultraviolet index (UVI) is a dimensionless scale, which describes the maximum intensity and biologic effects of UV during a specific time, on surface of the earth. The UVI is an international standard measurement of the strength of sunburn producing ultraviolet radiation at a particular place and time. This index is an easy and understandable concept for pr...
متن کاملOccupational UV exposure in French outdoor workers.
OBJECTIVES Occupational ultraviolet (UV) exposure was evaluated in a population-based sample in France. METHODS A random survey was conducted in 2012 in individuals aged 25 to 69 years. The median daily standard erythemal UV dose (SED) was estimated from exposure time and place and matched to satellite UV records. RESULTS A total of 889 individuals were exposed to solar UV with highest dose...
متن کاملDupuytren's disease: personal factors and occupational exposure.
BACKGROUND The etiology of Dupuytren's disease is unknown, and the role of occupational exposure is still debated. Our objective was to study the association between occupational exposures, personal risk factors and Dupuytren's disease. METHODS In this cross-sectional survey, nine occupational physicians performed clinical examinations, focused on Dupuytren's disease, of 2,406 French male civ...
